My Transition

I have currently been on staff at Ywam Maui for one month, and i'm loving it. I work in the kitchen, cooking food for everyone on the base. It is so incredible to finally be back here and into the swing of things. There is about 50 people that live here on base, and it feels like one big giant family. Its crazy what happens when you put that many people in such a small space, all with the same passion for Jesus working towards the same goal of knowing him and making him known. It still doesn't completely feel like home yet. I feel like im doing my dts all over again, then in a few months im gonna go on outreach. Well, come the end of march, the teams that are preparing right now to go out to there respected countries are gonna be leaving, and I will not. Once that happens I feel like everything will finally set in, and it will feel like home. I know that God has a specific plan for me here, and i'm so excited to see what that is and how he's preparing me for it. He will make this place home for me. There are about 25 people here on staff, some that live on the base and some that don't. Alot of them are the same age as me, and some of them are much older. There are about 8 other people here from colorado, which is fun to remanisce about good times back there, and others from Canada, Thailand, England, China, Norway, Switzerland, and all over America. It is really neat to see so many different countries and cultures come together and interact and get to know each other. Where all here for one common purpose and thats to love Jesus, and love each other.
